Having knowledge of the ISTE standards is helping me to explore ways to bring these standards alive in my own classroom in a way that is developmentally appropriate and easily referenced!  Attending many home visits and learning about the cultures, financial restrictions, and religious practices of my students' families, helped me to understand that most of my students do not have access to technology, while others can only access it for a short amount of time and for specific reasons. Considering this, how can I help all students become empowered learners by engaging in technological resources when away from school? Help students become familiar with following the ISTE standards. One way to help students learn about the ISTE Standards in a developmentally appropriate way is to use this ISTE music Video to help students engage meaningful discussions around internet literacy!
